THE Noble Park Bulls remain undefeated after obliterating East Ringwood by 125 points at Pat Wright Oval in their Eastern Football League Division One match on Saturday.
Noble Park was barely troubled by the previously fourth-placed East Ringwood, jumping out to a 16-point lead at quarter-time before a blockbuster eight-goal-to-one second term confirmed the result.
The Bulls continued to rampage in the second half, slamming on 16 goals to five as the margin ballooned past the century mark.
“We got off to a good start and that set us up for the win,” Noble Park playing coach Shane Burgmann said.
Despite the easy victory, Burgmann was wary of the opposition.
“They were a side we rated pretty highly going into the match,” he said.
“I guess it would have been pretty disappointing for them.”
Burgmann was most pleased with his players’ intensity at the football and their ball use.
It was Noble Park’s 10th win of the season and further enhanced their premiership favouritism, but Burgmann feels it is more than just a two-way battle between the Bulls and Vermont.
“You always strive for the premiership,” Burgmann said.
“But I wouldn’t discount Lilydale. In the finals anything can happen.”
Brent Williams was outstanding for the Bulls, kicking his second consecutive bag of eight goals, while Vic Currie and Daniel Norman were also instrumental in the victory.
The only negatives for Noble Park were the injuries to Daniel Kennedy (knee) and reserves player Darren Walsh (facial injury).
