NOBLE Park artists can brush up on social skills at a new club aimed specifically at painters.
The Noble Park Artists’ Group started yesterday (Wednesday) after a successful exhibition held by the Noble Park Community Centre last month.
Project officer Max Bartlett said the group would meet once a month on a Wednesday with further details to be finalised.
He said it would allow local artists the opportunity to meet peers and go on excursions to various art galleries and exhibitions.
“Members can be absolute beginners or people who just have an interest in art,” he said. “They don’t necessarily have to be fully experienced.”
Mr Bartlett said artists often indulged in their pastime to the point of isolation.
“Sometimes in the art world you can tend to get rather isolated, so I think this will start off being a group meeting on a casual basis that will hopefully grow into a true art society.”
