THE Springvale and Noble Park (SNP) women’s State League Four hockey side has continued its climb up the ladder and a clash with ladder leader and local rival Dandenong is imminent.
The Warriors’ 2-1 defeat of Parkville at Mills Reserve leaves the team in second position, but still six wins behind top side Dandenong.
The Warriors have a chance to creep closer in the final round of the season, when they take on Sandringham.
Dandenong will enjoy a bye before the finals.
The SNP men’s State League Three side enjoyed a 2-0 victory against Sandringham in their match at Mills Reserve on Saturday.
The win keeps the Warriors on top of the ladder, but the side won’t be feeling comfortable with second-placed Brunswick relentlessly chasing the minor premiership.
In the last round of the season, SNP takes on LaTrobe University and will be looking to secure top spot, while Brunswick faces the lowly Frankston.
