THE Liberal Party has announced its candidate for the Mulgrave electorate.
Ashton Ashokkumar, 42, will battle Daniel Andrews MP for the seat at this November’s State Election.
Mr Ashokkumar lives in Mulgrave with his family and is a sales consultant at a real estate agency in Dandenong.
Mr Ashokkumar was previously a real estate manager in Dubai prior to arriving in Australia and is now completing his Victorian real estate agent’s licence course at Swinburne University.
Mr Ashokkumar is a member of the Monash Club, the Tamil Sangam, the Telegu Association and a member of the Federation of India Association of Victoria, and a parishioner at St John’s Vianney’s Church.
“As a father of a young child, a local businessman and a resident, I’m committed to ensuring our community has access to good schools and safe streets and homes,” he said.
“I am committed to fighting for improved public transport and better roads so that we don’t have to spend half of our days stuck in congested traffic.
“I’m looking forward to meeting residents, listening to their ideas and concerns and working with them to represent their needs.”
