A MAJOR benefit from the Eastlink Freeway project would be thousands of jobs for people in the south east.
That was the message to the Casey Business Development Group from Janet Holmes a Court, who heads up John Holland, one of the major companies building the freeway.
Mrs Holmes a Court was guest speaker at the CBDG annual meeting this week.
She said the Eastlink tollway would generate 70,000 jobs during the building process and from intensification of industry along the corridor.
“Small business will benefit from the flow down coming from big business that will be attracted to the area,” she said. “This is a fantastic area to live and we hope to make it a fantastic place to work,” she said.
