NOBLE Park is building into its season nicely and returned from East Burwood triumphant after ripping the home side Rams apart by 92-points.
While East Burwood took a one-goal lead into the quarter time break, it wasn’t to last long.
The Bulls kicked eight goals to nil in the second term to take back control of the match and effectively end it there and then.
Noble Park coach Mick Fogarty said he told his team to hunt the ball and put some pressure back on the opposition.
“We just got the footy back on our terms,” he said.
“In the first quarter East Burwood controlled the play.
“We were tentative and we allowed the opposition to take the initiative.”
The win is Noble Park’s first at East Burwood’s home ground in five years. Christopher Horton-Milne was best on ground for the away side and ably assisted by Sam Monaghan and Craig Anderson.
Up forward for the Bulls Beau Cosson was able to snag four majors in an impressive display while teammate Brett Dore also slotted four.
Fogarty urged the team to get back to basics and avoid skill errors after the slow start.
“We just got it inside 50 more times,” he said.
“We were able to break away and once we were able to get it on the overlap the opposition couldn’t sustain it.
“It’s really good for us to get down there and take a win and keep in touch with the top three.”

KEYSBOROUGH once again tested the very fabric of a finals contender, this time Pakenham, before going down by 28 points, 19.15 (129) to 15.11 (101), at Rowley Allen Reserve.
Chris Bryan’s men have really solidified as a team in recent times with Saturday’s performance the sixth game straight – where they have a three-three record – where the margin has stayed below five goals.
The competitive Burra took an eight-point lead into quarter time but found the going tough in the second, the Lions piling on 6.3 to 2.2 to lead by 17 at the main break.
Despite having winners up forward in Tyson King, five goals, and Dean Gentle, four, the Burra couldn’t reel in the margin, outscored eight goals to nine in the second half.
King was the Burra’s best while Michael Downie, Ryan Goodes, Geoff Humphreys, Reece Spadaccini and Glen Hawthorn all contributed well.
The Burra face Casey Cardinia’s hardest assignment this week when they hit the road to take on the undefeated Narre Warren.
SFL – DIVISION 3
LYNDALE’s grip of fifth-place tightened after an emphatic 87-point victory, 19.17 (131) to 6.8 (44), over bottom-placed Endeavour Hills.
Trevor Kumetaitis and Adam Read kicked four each for the winners with Ordell Buntine, Trent Day and Damien Wilsnach joining Read on the best players list.
Kane Gillespie, Travis Kerr and Brendon Robinson gave their all for Falcons with Shane Peake sneaking two goals.
Third-placed Dandenong was given a stark reminder of the gap that exists between itself and top-of-the-table Doveton Eagles, getting a 40-point football lesson at Greaves Reserve.
The Redlegs started OK but the Eagles ran rampant in the second term, kicking 10.4 to 3.2 to take a stranglehold on proceedings.
The margin stretched to 60 at the final break before the home-side gave the scoreboard -22.10 (142) to 15.12 (102) – some respectability in the last quarter.
Chris Tosin, Matt Van Schajik and Chris Hatfield were best for the Redlegs who had trouble combatting the size and power of Eagles forward Ricky Ramsdale, who kicked six goals.
