Man charged after crash at booze bus

POLICE have charged a Noble Park man with multiple driving offences after a collision at a booze bus station in Pakenham on Saturday night.
Police charged the 64-year-old for driving too close after the car he was driving ran into the back of a vehicle waiting in line at the booze bus station on the Princes Highway.
The man was also charged with drink-driving after registering a blood-alcohol reading of 0.096 per cent.

DANDENONG teenagers as young as 15 have been nabbed for stealing cars, and items from them.
Police have labelled the start of Operation Sturt – targeting motor vehicle, petrol and numberplate thefts – as a major success.
Detective Senior Constable Andrew Smart said the majority of offences occurred over the last two weeks with police swooping on their targets on Saturday.
Concerning police was the fact six of the seven arrested were under the age of 18.
Det Sen Const Smart said the operation would continue around the clock for the next month and would then be reviewed to determine its overall success. He said members from the Narre Warren Tasking Unit, Cranbourne Tasking Unit and Casey Response Unit were all contributing to the operation.
The 15-year-old Dandenong boy was charged with three counts of theft of a motor vehicle and one count of theft from a motor vehicle.
A Dandenong boy, 16, was charged with three counts of theft of a motor vehicle and one count of theft from a motor vehicle.
A Noble Park girl, 17, was charged with three counts of theft of a motor vehicle and one count of theft from a motor vehicle.Everyone else charged was bailed with a curfew restricting their movement in public between 8pm and 8am.
All will appear before either the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court or Dandenong Children’s Court at a later date.
