THE call is out for people who make a positive impact on Greater Dandenong.
The city’s Australia Day Awards nominations are now open.
Greater Dandenong mayor Angela Long said they recognised exceptional contribution, hard work and determination.
“They provide a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate the often unsung members of our local community who work tirelessly to make our city a better place to live,” she said.
Residents have until 5pm on Monday 25 November to nominate a young citizen (aged 25 or under), citizen, good neighbour or non-resident for a nod.
A community panel will decide the winners, who’ll receive their awards during the Greater Dandenong Australia Day celebrations on 26 January at the Drum Theatre in Dandenong.
Celebrations will continue with an Australia Day concert at Dandenong Park.
