NOMINATIONS for Greater Dandenong’s Australia Day awards close this week.
The mayor of the City of Greater Dandenong Youhorn Chea this week urged residents to submit nominations for the categories of Young Citizen of the Year (aged 25 years or under), Citizen of the Year, and Non-Resident of the Year.
Entries close at 5pm this Friday 30 November.
“The Greater Dandenong Australia Day Awards form part of Council’s Australia Day festivities. They provide a wonderful opportunity for us to recognise the sometimes unsung contribution of our citizens,” Cr Chea said.
Winners will be decided by a community panel and presented with their awards during the Greater Dandenong Australia Day celebrations on 26 January.
Phone 9239 5134 for nomination forms. Nomination forms are also available at www.greaterdandenong.com or at Customer Service Centres, and can be posted or handed into a customer service centre.
