Danny Kah and Chris Stewart from the City of Great
SPRINGVALE’S Ride to Work Day is slowly growing each year, with more than 20 people taking part in the 2005 event.
Every year Bicycle Victoria encourages people to leave their cars at home for the day and try riding to work.
This year, 15 City of Greater Dandenong staff pedalled in, as did two police officers and a small group of others.
Council officer Danny Kah rides to Springvale from Mount Eliza every day.
On Wednesday’s ride to work day he brought Chris Stewart with him.
Mr Stewart, also a council officer, has a vision impairment and made the trip with Mr Kah on a tandem bicycle.
