AN ELDERLY woman scared off a burglar while he was ransacking her Keysborough home.
Greater Dandenong CIU Detective Senior Constable Mark Higgins said a man smashed a window to enter the Bundeena Avenue house about 4.15pm on 19 March.
An 83-year-old woman heard the intruder rummaging through her belongings and confronted him in her bedroom.
He fled when she screamed, exiting via the broken window and fleeing on foot with jewellery.
Sen Const Higgins urged anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
