Anyone for a hit of tennis?

SPRINGVALE North Tennis Club will roll out the welcome mat to new players next weekend.
The club will host its Open Day on Saturday, 19 April from noon-3pm, with an array of free activities and competitions to entertain players of all levels.
With free social tennis and equipment available on the day, newcomers to the game – or casual players looking for a home court – will be able to try out Springvale North’s exceptional facilities.
Head coach Stephen Sruk will be on hand to provide free tuition during the day or just chat with new players over a barbecue lunch.
Patrons will also be able to test their arm on the speed gun, with prizes for the fastest serves.
For those looking for inspiration, Springvale North’s Grade One pennant team will be displaying their skills in singles and doubles exhibition matches.
There will also be a special membership offer available, with all joining fees waived on the day.
The club is located at Warner Reserve, on the corner of Furnew and Wood streets in Springvale.
