Man fights attacker

A MAN was forced to fend off an attacker wielding a Stanley knife last month.
Police are seeking witnesses to the incident, which occurred at the intersection of Dandenong Street and Cheltenham Road on Friday, 23 September at 12.45pm
The male offender got out of his vehicle, a silver Toyota Camry sedan, and walked towards the victim on the side of the road, threatening him with a Stanley knife.
Leading Senior Constable Bradley Guy of Dandenong police said the victim managed to fend off the offender, who then returned to his car and fled the scene.
“A number of people stopped at the scene to assist the victim and these are the people we would like to hear from,” he said.
