Man hacked in tomahawk attack

A MAN was hacked in the back with a tomahawk during an argument in front of his Dandenong house on Monday night.
About 8.10pm on 1 February, the victim and his fiance started bickering with another male known to them outside the Olive Street home.
Soon afterwards, a third male arrived in a dark blue sedan, joined in the dispute and swung a tomahawk into the middle of the victim’s back.
Detective Senior Constable Andrew Paternott, of Greater Dandenong CIU, said the victim staggered inside, and was lucky to survive the attack.
The man was taken to Dandenong Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
