Teenager bashed

A TEENAGER remains in a critical condition after a group assault outside a Springvale nightclub in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police believe the 17-year-old Dandenong man was chased from the Uniclub nightclub in Queens Avenue, around the corner into Buckingham Avenue where he was caught by up to 20 attackers.
It is alleged the group punched and kicked the teenager to the ground, before leaving him lying unconscious. A female friend ran to the man’s aid and was also assaulted by the group.
The man regained consciousness on Monday but has serious head injuries and brain trauma.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the attack, or events leading up to it, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
