A new mobile phone app is making renewing and reserving library books easier in Greater Dandenong.
Dandenong Library launched the free app on Wednesday 14 December, which will also allow library users to access online resources any time.
The council’s community services director, Mark Doubleday, said the council recognised the need to be more mobile friendly.
“Greater Dandenong traditionally is a city with very low literacy levels,” he said.
“Despite this, however, research shows mobile phone usage is high.
“The new mobile app allows us to tap into an audience we were previously missing.
“Thanks to the app, more people within our community can now access the wonderful services the library has to offer.”
