GIVEAWAYS, demonstrations and AFL stars were among the highlights at the Doherty’s Gym open day.
More than 200 people went along to enjoy the day’s festivities.
There were activities for all ages with a jumping castle for the kids, guest appearances by Anthony Koutoufides and Corey McKernan and body builders and personal trainers in attendance to answer questions.
Doherty’s Gym manager, Andrew Iskander, said the gym had signed up plenty of new members as a result of the day.
Mr Iskander said the aim of the day was to promote the new gym, and show the community that it was making efforts to ease repayments during the economic crisis.
“The community still needs to look after their health despite the economic crisis,” he said.
