Greater Dandenong police are investigating suspicious fires in two abandoned homes.
Police and fire crews were called to a vacant house in Cleeland Street, Dandenong, about 4am on Thursday 7 September.
The blaze caused extensive damage to the kitchen.
No one was present at the time. The cause was deemed suspicious.
About 8am on Saturday 9 September, the CFA was called to a home occupied by squatters on Springvale Road in Springvale.
That fire caused extensive damage to the back of the home.
Police are appealing for witnesses to both fires.
