More than 30,000 people celebrated the Lunar New Year with dragon and lion dancing, Chinese drumming and Taekwondo.
Dandenong Market welcomed the Year of the Dog with a festival on Sunday 25 February.
There was a pop-up food bazaar with 16 street food vendors cooking up the flavours of China, Vietnam, Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Nepal.
Live entertainment included a flying dragon spanning more than 20 metres.
Dandenong Market general manager Jennifer Hibbs said the Lunar New Year Festival was one of the most colourful and well-attended festivals of the year.
“Celebrating important cultural events like Lunar New Year Festival is the essence of Dandenong Market being the most multicultural market in Melbourne,” she said.
