Police nabbed a speeding driver in Springvale travelling at almost twice the legal limit.
They intercepted the Clayton South 30-year-old on Centre Road about 4.30am on Friday 2 March.
The driver was allegedly travelling at 112 kilometres an hour in the 60 zone.
Police will charge them with exceeding the speed limit by 45km/h or more and displaying P-plates when they were not required.
They also issued the driver with a notice to surrender his vehicle to be impounded for 30 days.
