TWO youths have been charged with a number of offences committed in the Springvale area between 27 November and 30 November.
Police said some charges related to an incident in which an 18-year-old was robbed by the two 16-year-olds brandishing a screwdriver on 28 November at a residence on Edmond Street.
Police said at 6pm, the youths from Springvale and Clayton South forced entry to the front door of a property and confronted the victim. Police said they forced the victim into a bedroom, where one youth demanded property.
The second youth left the room and returned with a screwdriver which was presented as a weapon. Police said the youths stole property from the room and fled the scene. Both youths were arrested Monday, charged and remanded to appear in Melbourne Children’s Court on Tuesday (December 1).
