DRUGS, firearms and a python were a few of the items police seized from a number of houses in south-east Melbourne last week.
Police from Dandenong, Frankston and Mornington and the Operational Response Unit (ORU) executed numerous warrants on Thursday, 15 April.
The warrants were executed at 18 addresses in Frankston, Carrum Downs, Cranbourne, Langwarrin, Hampton Park, Skye, Somerville and Rosebud.
Police seized an array of property in the raids, including six firearms, a 21-foot wake boat and trailer, sea-doo jet boat, Subaru WRX in pieces, four sea-doos, about 1.5 kilograms of amphetamines, in excess of $230,000 cash. A Darwin carpet python was taken to a wildlife shelter.
Police arrested five men aged between 24 and 37 and two women aged 29 and 30-years-old.
They were expected to appear last Friday at Frankston Magistrates’ Court to face charges including drug trafficking, possessing the proceeds of crime and firearm offences.
