POLICE are reminding drivers to use their fog lights only when necessary or face the risk of receiving a fine.
Police said drivers must not operate front or rear fog lights unless they are driving in fog or hazardous weather conditions causing reduced visibility.
Fog lights can only emit white or yellow light and must be mounted level or below the factory driving lights of the vehicle.
Police said all drivers should be aware that fog lights may dazzle and impair other drivers in clear conditions. Anyone using fog lights unnecessarily could be fined $119.
