In search of X factor

By Kelly Yates
ENDEAVOUR Hills singer Madison Pritchett is no stranger when it comes to singing on national television.
The 19-year-old belted out the tunes on the hit television show The X Factor recently, making it through to the top 12 of the under-25 females.
The Channel 7 singing competition is open to singers of all ages – solo performers or groups.
Ms Pritchett said she was excited and proud about making it through to the final 12 in the competition, after also being in the top 24 of Australian Idol back in 2007.
“I thought I’d give The X Factor a crack as I was more mature and vocally stronger than when I was on Australian Idol,” she said.
“I think my stage presence and confidence levels have improved over the past three years.”
Ms Pritchett said she now knew for sure that a career in the music industry was what she wanted to achieve.
She sang I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston while on The X Factor stage in front of judges Kyle Sandilands, Natalie Imbruglia, Guy Sebastian and Ronan Keating.
“I was happy I pulled it off,” she said. “Kyle said I was a superstar and Guy said I nailed it.”
Ms Pritchett is recording a few dance tracks with some of Melbourne’s top DJs.
