A SPRINGVALE SOUTH man was assaulted by a group of men in Springvale on 15 January.
Police said the man was walking towards the Springvale Railway Station, along Springvale Road, about 3.45am when he was assaulted by between seven and nine men, all in their early twenties and of Asian appearance.
They punched him repeatedly and stole his phone.
