Squat house set ablaze again

A squat property at 13 Fifth Avenue, Dandenong has been damaged by fire for the second time in three weeks.

The site’s rear shed was completely destroyed by a blaze reported at 6.30pm on Sunday 10 November, Greater Dandenong CIU police say.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

On 21 October, the single-storey weatherboard main dwelling was significantly damaged by a suspicious fire.

Police say that squatters have been “coming and going” from the property for some time.
