A CHARITY golf day for the Greater Dandenong business community is now in the swing of things.
The City of Greater Dandenong Industry ‘Take a Swing for Charity Golf Day’ was launched on Monday at the Sandhurst Club, Skye.
The launch highlighted all the things that make the event, planned for 21 February, one not to be missed.
The Golf Day, now in its second-year, incorporates a fun day of golf with lunch and a dinner and charity auction.
The day will also include plenty of games and entertainment, prizes and guest professional golfers on course for tips and hints.
The City of Greater Dandenong is calling on all local businesses to enter a team, donate a prize for the charity auction or sponsor a hole.
All proceeds from the day will go towards Wallara Australia, a leading disability organisation.
Money raised will assist with funding three designated projects in their high-needs area.
The inaugural event held in 2009 raised more than $35,000 for the Greater Dandenong Food Alliance. The money was used to purchase fridges and cool rooms which will help increase the alliances food storing capacity.
The City of Greater Dandenong, through its business networking unit South East Business Networks (SEBN), together with key corporate sponsors are organising the event.
