Truck crash traps driver

Paramedics Paramedics

A SEAFORD man was taken to hospital with severe head injuries after his car and a tow truck collided in Keysborough last week.
The collision occurred as the 43yearold man was driving his blue Ford Festiva along Springvale Road near the intersection of Keysborough Avenue, Keysborough, about noon on Saturday.
The rear tray of the RACV tow truck smashed through the front windscreen of the Festiva, injuring the man and trapping him inside.
Dandenong CFA members said an ambulance was passing by at the time and its crew stopped to assist the man and stabilise him.
Fire crews freed him before he was taken to The Alfred hospital.
He is still in intensive care. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Chelsea police are investigating the cause of the collision.
