A GREAT team effort by the Dandenong Rangers’ Youth League men’s team saw the players as good as seal the minor premiership when they faced last year’s champions, the Eltham Wildcats, on Saturday night.
The Wildcats, while not playing their best basketball this year, came off a big win against title contender Knox and the Rangers were well aware this could be a tough match-up.
The Wildcats pushed the Rangers in the game’s early stages, however the Rangers still built a 15-point lead in the first half.
In what ended up being a scrappy, hard-fought game, the Rangers ran out big winners 100-59.
