Authors set to inspire

GREATER Dandenong residents have the opportunity to meet two inspirational authors this month at Dandenong Library.
Next Wednesday, 10 October, author Paul Diaz will discuss his novel, Love, War and the Magic Ball, which explores the power of football and its ability to unite billions of people from across the globe. Love, War and the Magic Ball takes readers back to before World War I and traces a story of immigration, World War II and, of course, football.
Diaz, a language teacher, engineer and sports coach, spent 18 years writing the 710-page novel, which he completed to coincide with the 2006 World Cup.
On Tuesday 30 October inspirational author George Ginzburg will discuss his novel, A Will to Live. Ginzburg was tortured in a Gestapo prison and held for three years in Auschwitz before escaping to a Bavarian forest during the infamous death march evacuation in January 1945. He enlisted with the American forces after they stumbled upon him in the forest.
Ginzburg has endured unthinkable persecution and now spends his days spreading a message of tolerance and anti-racism.
He has documented his extraordinary life story in A Will to Live which highlights the horrors of war and captures his incredible life force and will to survive.
