RONALDINHO watch out – the kids at Coomoora Primary School are hot on the heels of your world soccer throne.
The dedicated team of primary school students entered the Springvale and Noble Park interschool soccer championship on 2 August for the first time ever.
And the school can now proudly boast that its team of soccer stars won the championship after defeating the gallant Springvale Heights Primary School 3-0.
“The win was especially satisfying as the team, including three girls, has only been participating in interschool sport for this year,” Coomoora Primary School’s reading recovery teacher Linda Brodie said.
“The team practises regularly and has shown a strong commitment, which has paid off throughout this season.”
The team will now aim higher as it competes for the title of the state’s primary school soccer champion.
