THE second Sandown twilight race meeting for the season will be run tomorrow (Friday).
The concept of Friday twilight race meetings was trialed at Sandown in February 2004 and proved a success. A further twilight meeting was scheduled for Sandown on 6 January, but with the transfer of a number of meetings from Caulfield during track resurfacing works, the Melbourne Racing Club moved that meeting to Ballarat.
Gates open at 12.30pm and the first of the seven races on the Sandown Lakeside track starts at 3.05pm.
Admission is $7 for adults, $4 concession and children under 18 accompanied by an adult are free. For more information contact the club on 9257 7200.
