Men left with eye injuries after attack

A NOBLE Park man was rushed to The Alfred hospital for emergency eye surgery after he and three other men were assaulted in central Dandenong on the weekend.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack that left another Noble Park man with a fractured eye socket.
They said four men, all aged in their 40s, left the Red Star Restaurant and Nightclub in Foster Street at about 3.20am on Sunday, 8 July.
Police spokeswoman Alison Noonan said the four were assaulted by another group of men in Pultney Street.
The men walked around the corner into Pultney Street when it is believed they were assaulted by a group of males armed with glass bottles and other unknown weapons,” she said.
“The offenders then fled the scene, leaving the four men unconscious on the ground.”
One man from Noble Park was rushed to The Alfred hospital for emergency surgery on his right eye which was damaged in the attack.
Another Noble Park man was taken to the Dandenong Hospital with a fracture to an eye socket, and two men, one from Hampton Park and the other from Sunshine, were taken to the Dandenong Hospital with minor injuries.
