Police impound two more cars

By Shaun Ingianzo
A POLICE motorcyclist busted and impounded two cars along the South Gippsland Highway early this month.
Police this week revealed the impoundments made by Regional Traffic Unit Senior Constable Andrew Boldiston in a bid to raise awareness of the harsh penalties that face speeding motorists.
The two incidents happened within hours of each other on Sunday, 6 May.
The first, a stationwagon, was travelling at 127km/h in an 80km/h zone on South Gippsland Highway near Greens Road in Dandenong at 2.50pm.
The 30-year-old Narre Warren man will face court and must also pay a $490 towing fee for the impounded vehicle.
In the second incident, a 23-year-old Cranbourne man entered the South Gippsland Highway from Clairemont Avenue in Cranbourne doing a burn-out at 5.10pm.
He will face court for a number of charges including careless driving, improper use of a motor vehicle, causing undue smoke or noise and intentionally causing loss of traction.
He will pay a $520 towing fee for the vehicle.
