POLICE dogs helped track down a 43-year-old Springvale man involved in a car pursuit through Noble Park on Sunday night.
Police said the pursuit began in Noble Park and continued throughout neighbouring suburbs before the passenger, a 19-year-old man from Skye, jumped out of the vehicle and was later arrested.
Police then discontinued the pursuit.
They say the car collided with two vehicles including a police van and that no one was injured. Police located the car in Ringwood and say a K9 unit sniffed out the driver who was only a short distance away.
Police said the man resisted the police dog and was bitten. He was then conveyed to the Dandenong Hospital for treatment and was yesterday (Wednesday) being interviewed by police.
