Three slash, rob man

POLICE are looking for three men who slashed a man with knives at Noble Park station this week.
Police said a 30-year-old Noble Park man was walking through a small tunnel underneath the railway at 8.30pm on Monday when three men approached him.
The three men each produced a knife and threatened the man to hand over his wallet.
Police said that before the man could react, the men slashed him and then grabbed his wallet.
Police believe that other people then entered the tunnel causing the three men to flee and drop the wallet.
The 30-year-old man collected his wallet and returned to his house to phone police and paramedics. Police said he suffered minor lacerations to the face and head and chose to visit his local GP after an inspection by paramedics.

AN ARMED robbery in Dandenong last month ended with a touch of Benny Hill comedy. Two robbers who smashed their way into an Edith Street house in Dandenong on 24 February at 12.40am produced guns and demanded cash and expensive possessions from one of the occupants, a 24-year-old man.
But the botched robbery ended with the frightened thieves fleeing with just two pairs of runners and two mobile phones.
Police said one of the robbers pointed a pistol at the mouth of the 24-year-old while the other led him to the bedroom and searched for cash. Two other occupants – the 24-year-old’s brother, 26, and his girlfriend, 24, managed to escape the house.
The 24-year-old man then managed to scramble from the clutches of the armed robbers and ran away, police said.
The robbers then fled with two pairs of Nike shoes and two mobile phones.

A MAN who stopped to urinate in a Noble Park laneway encountered a trickle of bad luck when he was severely bashed by two men.
Police are calling for witnesses to a reckless assault in Elonera Road, Noble Park, near the McDonald’s restaurant, between 1.50am and 2.10am on 18 February. Police said a 20-year-old Noble Park man and his girlfriend drove to Elonera Road and stopped while the man entered a nearby laneway to urinate.
Two men who police believe are unknown to the 20-year-old approached him and began to punch and kick him.
The 20-year-old was left with multiple fractures to his right cheekbone, a swollen and bruised right eye, a dislodged front tooth and grazes to his shoulders.
Police said onlookers at the McDonald’s restaurant ran to the laneway causing the two attackers to flee.

Anyone with information on the above incidents should phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
