Dusty playwright blows in

DANDENONG Inner Wheel Club members rubbed shoulders with Mr Hollywood himself.
John-Michael Howson, who wrote for Graham Kennedy and Mike Walsh and then spent 16 years in Hollywood, visited the Inner Wheel Club at its annual luncheon last month.
Inner Wheel is a worldwide organisation born out of Rotary International and is a club for female relatives of Rotarians.
Mr Howson co-wrote the hit play Dusty, which documents Dusty Springfield’s career through musical performance.
Dandenong Inner Wheel resident Vicky Collier said Mr Howson was a long-time supporter of the National Cord Blood Project.
The luncheon on 27 September at Clover Cottage in Berwick was also a fundraiser for the same project – which the Inner Wheel organisation is a strong supporter of.
