A DANDENONG accountant and his wife raised $4500 for the Make A Wish Foundation simply by celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary.
Roy Sanderson of RJ Sanderson and Associates, in Dandenong, celebrated 20 years of marriage to wife Christine on his Berwick property with 180 guests on Saturday 24 February.
But an elaborate and spectacular evening that was highlighted by a 1.2 metre chocolate fountain, entertainment by Rove Live comedian Dave Grant, music by the band Red Earth, and fireworks, was in aid of more than just the Sanderson couple’s achievement.
Mr Sanderson said bottles of 20-year-old Penfold’s Grange Hermitage wine were cracked open and guests offered glasses for $20, with proceeds going to the Make A Wish Foundation.
Guests were also encouraged to make donations to the Make A Wish Foundation rather than purchase a gift for the Sandersons.
