DANDENONG North Primary School is pushing the entertainment boundaries by spreading its school concert over two nights.
The school has more than 500 students, and performing arts teacher Liesl Field said the nights would split the numbers in half to make it a less-crowded affair.
The concert will take place on 10 and 11 October at Dandenong High School and will feature a strong performance from the school’s grade six students interwoven with performances by those grades scheduled on each night.
“The first three songs will be different each night,” Ms Field said.
“The songs we have chosen include songs from different countries.
“We’ve got well-known songs such as The Lion Sleeps Tonight, but the other ones are traditional songs from various countries.”
It is the second time the school has divided its concert into two nights, but the first time it has endeavoured to weave the two nights together.
