A DANDENONG man was arrested and will be charged on summons after a scuffle with police in Federation Square on Sunday.
More than 12 Safe City police units responded to a call out at the Feddish Bar where several youths were fighting.
The men ignored police orders to stop fighting and were subsequently sprayed with capsicum foam.
Police say a 22-year-old man from Dandenong picked up a chair and attempted to hit one of the police members.
The man was sprayed with foam and arrested.
Police are currently viewing CCTV footage in an attempt to identify a number of people involved in the incident.
The 22-year-old man will be charged on summons for assaulting police.
