A TOUCH of Hollywood hit Dandenong last week when The Castle hosted the Outstanding Student Career Achievement (OSCA) Awards.
The awards, organised by South East Local Learning and Employment Network (SELLEN) recognise the efforts of young people in vocational training, apprenticeships and traineeships from schools and institutions around Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs.
About 140 people packed The Castle for the awards ceremony which was hosted by live entertainer Leonie Collins.
A Hollywood-themed stage coupled with vaudeville style entertainment set the atmosphere for the awards that followed.
SELLEN is a regional network of organisations and individuals working together to give 13 to 19-year-old people a better chance at moving successfully from school to work.
SELLEN works in partnership with and is funded by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations and the Victorian Learning and Employment Skills Commission.
