ARTIST Trevor Flett will open his fifth solo exhibition next month at Dandenong’s Walker Street Gallery.
His work is a celebration of the letters, numbers and landscapes that influence human behaviour and lifestyle.
Man of Letters will be on display at Walker St Gallery in Dandenong from 2 to 25 June.
Visual and community arts coordinator Cathy Van Ee said Flett’s latest collection explores the objects and emotions which shape our everyday lives.
“His narratives will engage the viewer and draw on subjects such as strength, desire and the complexity of human interaction,” she said.
Flett was born in the western suburbs of Melbourne and has been painting for the past 25 years.
As a former creative director he headed up the team which designed branding for Telstra, Cricket Australia, AFL, Orica and the Sydney 2000 Olympics.
Visitors to the exhibition can meet the artist on Thursday, 5 June from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and on Saturday, 7 June, 14 June and 21 June between noon and 2pm.
The Walker Street Gallery is open daily from 11am until 5pm and on Saturdays from 11am to 3pm. Admission is free.
All of Flett’s artwork will be for sale.
