THE Dandenong Retail Traders’ Association (DRTA) has a new home for its general meetings.
As of 1 July, the DRTA will meet at The Ramada Encore Hotel at 50, McCrae Street in Dandenong.
The DRTA holds general meetings on the first Tuesday of the month from February through October, with its annual general meeting and business awards dinner held on the last Tuesday in November.
The November dinner and awards presentation is held at the Dandenong Club in Heatherton Road.
DRTA chairman Roy Aspinall said he was looking forward to the new venue.
The DRTA previously met at The Grand Hotel.
“We are looking forward to a long and enjoyable relationship with the Ramada, the premier hotel complex in central Dandenong,” Mr Aspinall said.
“There is parking available on the premises and nearby, which is most convenient.”
“General meetings start at 6pm and usually conclude by 7.30pm.”
Tea and coffee is supplied, he said, and representatives from Victoria Police, Greater Dandenong council and VicUrban will be in attendance.
“All retailers are welcome at the general meeting, be they members or not, but we do hope that all retailers will eventually join,” Mr Aspinall said.
“Attendance at the general meetings is a wonderful opportunity to network with fellow central Dandenong retailers.”
