SPRINGVALE Heights Primary School students took pride in showcasing their talents at two recent performing arts nights.
The performances involved all classes from prep to year six. The children sang and danced their way through a variety of activities, including items in Chinese and Vietnamese, languages they learn as part of the LOTE program.
The children’s artwork in various mediums was also on show throughout the school.
Principal Annette Hilton said performing arts was an important part of the curriculum at Springvale Heights.
“The school is fortunate to have both a visual arts teacher and a specialist performing arts teacher on staff,” Ms Hilton said.
“The children enjoy performing at community events such as the Moon Festival, and the junior dancers are performing at the opening ceremony of the Pan Pacific Games in November.”
Springvale Heights Primary School is taking enrolments for next year with new families welcome.
