STUDENTS at schools throughout Greater Dandenong are participating in this week’s Children’s Book Week activities.
The theme for this year’s book week event is Reading Rocks, and both the Dandenong and Springvale libraries have organised performances from entertainers who are proving that reading is ‘cool’.
The magical and traditional storytelling techniques of Matteo was on show on Monday, which proved to be a real favourite of local school children.
Carp Productions, a talented duo of young actors, performed short plays of three books that have been shortlisted for the children’s book awards.
Story time sessions for preschool children were also organised at the libraries.
Children’s Book Week activities will run until tomorrow (Friday).
