THE Rosswood Tennis Club is getting into the swing of the Commonwealth Games with an official launch and a community open day, to be held this Sunday after its major redevelopment.
City of Greater Dandenong mayor Peter Brown will officially open the club on Somerset Drive in Dandenong North at 2pm.
Coinciding with the launch, anyone interested in tennis is encouraged to grab a racquet and visit the club to have a free hit.
The club has comprehensive disabled facilities and wheelchair players are more than welcome to participate.
The open day, starting at 1pm, is part of the City of Greater Dandenong and the Victorian Government’s Getting Involved program to boost sporting participation in the lead-up to the Commonwealth Games.
The club is in Somerset Drive, Dandenong North. For more information, contact Maria Tattersall from the Rosswood Tennis Club, phone 9790 5443.
