STUDENTS from Chandler Primary School in Keysborough are in the spirit of the Commonwealth Games following a special flag presentation at assembly on Friday.
Lyndhurst MP Tim Holding presented the school with a Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games flag.
“The Commonwealth Games offers a wonderful opportunity for schools to celebrate our sporting and cultural achievements,” Mr Holding said.
“The flag could be displayed as part of their celebrations,” he said.
“With athletes from 71 nations competing it is a great example of the spirit of diversity that makes our local community such a great place.
“I encourage schools to celebrate the Commonwealth Games throughout the school, in classrooms, the school library and particularly at school sporting events.”
Fly the Games flag, says Holding
