FOUR more dogs at the Australian Animal Protection Society’s Keysborough shelter have only days to live unless they find homes.
The shelter is not permitted to house the dogs for longer than a month and time is running out for the four dogs, according to Jill Womersley from the shelter.
“We’re desperate to get them moving,” she said.
“They have all come in here after experiencing hard times, but they appear to be gentle animals.”
The dogs include a sevenyearold doberman called Angel, and dobermancross dogs Buddy (seven), Bella (12 months) and Gemma (15 months).
“It would appear Angel was a car yard dog,” Ms Womersley said. “She was carrying scars and was skinny when she arrived, but she is extremely loving.”
Ms Womersley said the dogs would all make ideal pets for single people wanting company, or a family with older children.
“They are all loyal dogs and each has something to offer,” she said.
The Australian Animal Protection Society’s Keysborough shelter is at 10 Homeleigh Road, Keysborough.
