HUNDREDS of hotrods and custombuilt cars will roar into Noble Park for a quick visit on Saturday, 29 October, before rolling off to a weekendlong party in Pakenham.
Fans of cars and rock ‘n’ roll will be on their way to the annual ‘Rod and Kustom Picnic’, but before they get there, they will congregate at the Sandown Hotel car park, Princes Highway, from 10am until noon.
The party at the destination includes a rock ‘n’ roll dance from 8pm.
On Sunday, the sun will rise over 2000 of the most exciting cars in Australia, on show at what has become the largest rod and custom event in the Southern Hemisphere.
Drivers will bring their cars from as far as Queensland to participate.
The event is as much about rock ‘n’ roll as it is about the cars, with performers to include the Atomic HiTones, Blackhill Ramblers, Crash and the Fender Benders, Diddley Daddies, Firebird, Flatfoot Shakers, Flyin’ Saucers, Itchy Fingers, Jeannie Lushes, Nightstalkers, Perfect Sin, Skyrockats, Spruiker, and Wild Turkey.
