YOUNG people from across Greater Dandenong have a monthly opportunity to jam the night away to the awesome sounds of a wide variety of bands.
The Muso Network’s Jam Nite will take place on the first Friday of each month, with a cast of bands and acts set to tickle the fancy of contemporary youths.
Muso Network chairwoman Rachel Monty said the evening was great experience for all involved.
“It gives bands who are unsigned a go at playing on stage, and it gives the Muso Network committee a chance to learn how to run events,” she said.
At the events, held at The Venue on Memorial Drive, Noble Park, young people can for a small fee spend from 7.30pm to 11.30pm listening to a lineup of acts, and can purchase a wide selection of foods in an alcohol and drugfree environment.
The first of the year’s Jam Nites was held last Friday, and Ms Monty said it was a successful evening, attracting an estimated crowd of more than 270 people.
